The Jungle chapter 1

Father Wolf woke up from his days rest at seven o'clock on a warm spring evening. It was hunting time again. Mother Wolf lifted her self afer resting with her five little cubs. She was aware that Shere Khan was around hunting in thr hills. "That vicious tiger has no right coming up here," Father Wolf said angrily. "according to the law of the Jungle he's supposed to hunt where he lives, at the Wainganga River. If he moved from there, he'll kill the villagers' cattle. Then they'll blame us and hunt us down." Just then, the wolves heard angry whines of a hungry tiger from the valley below. "Shere Khan is a fool!" exclaimed Father Wolf. "He's annoucing that the hasn't caught anything on his hunt." "That means he's hunting Man," said mother wolf. "That is stupid!" said Father Wolf. "The Law of the Jungle opposes it." At that moment, the tiger's purring grew louder, ending in a howl. "Shere Khan has missed," said Mother Wolf. "I can see hih from here," said Father Wolf. "He has jumped in a woodcutter's clearing and burned his feet. Now he's tumbling about in the bushes." "Someone is coming up the hill," said Mother Wolf. "We'd better be ready." Suddonly, the bushes rustled. Father Wolf dropped to the ground, prepared to leap at the predator.
